We wanted to let you know about an event we’re involved in that we think will be valuable for landlords.

Back in February, Progression Solicitors sponsored Ashdown Jones and Lettings by AJ’s Lakeland Landlord Advice Evening. Since then, the rules around letting out a property have changed again.

With the Renters’ Rights Act now in place, they are hosting another evening to help landlords understand what the changes mean in practice and how they may affect them moving forward.

Progression Solicitors will be joining Sam and Phil on the evening, sharing insight into the legal implications of the new legislation, highlighting common areas where landlords may be caught out, and discussing how landlords can best protect their position moving forward. The team will also provide an overview of property purchases, including some of the key differences between freehold and leasehold ownership.

Armstrong Watson will also be joining the panel to discuss the financial and tax implications arising from the new legislation.
