Focus on Debt Recovery
Progression Solicitors cannot express the importance of up-to-date written terms and conditions of business when dealing as a supplier of goods and services. We can provide you with a set of bespoke terms and conditions to meet the needs of your business.
However, be aware of consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 when dealing with individuals as consumers.
At Progression, effective debt recovery starts with communication. Know your customer – it is important to confirm their trading style – a company, a partnership or a sole trader or a consumer.
Effective debt recovery includes calling your customer to remind them that payment is due and provide options for payment and, if they do not answer your call, provide them with the information (if using email, please ask us about protecting your data and cyber security if you have any questions).
Once the debt becomes due, provide them with a more formal communication requesting payment within a specified period.
If they then fail to pay, contact our Dispute Resolution Team which advices both individuals and businesses and we can talk you through your options. You can contact our team here.
Progression has a Dispute Resolution Team that can deal with the following matters:-
- Property Litigation including commercial and private
- Director/Shareholder Disputes
