Do you receive support at work when going through a divorce?
The Positive Parenting Alliance is working with large organisations, such as NatWest Bank, Asda, Tesco, Vodafone, and many others, to ensure that their employees obtain support when going through either a divorce or separation.
Childcare issues, (if you find yourself now as a single parent) stress and anxiety and financial worries, managing on one wage instead of two, are just a few of the issues that occur when trying to juggle family life and work life.
The large firms have agreed to incorporate more family friendly policies, including the ability to have flexible working hours, a hot topic now, as more people return to office work after working from home for so long. They have agreed to signpost staff to places who can assist them with practical, financial, and legal support. At a time when recruitment is difficult, it is more important than ever to retain trained and trusted members of your team.
It is hoped more employers will sign up to this scheme, as it can only benefit them, ensuring their valued employees feel supported whilst going through this difficult time. No one wants to have emotionally vulnerable members of staff, having to take time off to deal with issues, when there may be another mutually beneficial route to do so.
Should you require any advice regarding this, or any other related issue please do not hesitate to get in touch with a member of our experienced family team on 0333 305 7777. We have offices across Lancaster, Barrow in Furness, Ulverston, Grange over Sands and Windermere. Face to face, MS Teams or telephone appointments can be arranged at your convenience.
