Employee – Owned Law Firm Conference 2025
On 12th March our Managing Director, Anthony Smith and Director, Lisa Bell attended the third annual Employee-Owned Law Firm Conference in London, hosted by Postlethwaite Solicitors. Not only that, but our Lisa Bell was honoured to take part in the Succession Panel alongside Kay Cook of Oliver & Co Solicitors and Jonathan Wearing of Ison Harrison Solicitors, discussing the topic of how to replace the traditional partnership model. After becoming employee owned in October 2024, Progression Solicitors is one of only 30 law firms to have converted to employee ownership in the UK, we are therefore very proud to be leading the way for future Employee-Owned Law firms.
At Progression Solicitors, we are proud to be a team of owners, not just employees. This ownership mindset drives us to think like business owners, act as trusted advisors, and advocate for our clients as if our future depends on it—because it does.
Employee Ownership aligns perfectly with our core values: empathy, pragmatism, responsiveness, and clear communication. It strengthens our commitment to delivering the level of service we would want to receive ourselves.
With this structure, our team is more collaborative, accountable, and dedicated to the shared success of Progression. While our employees may not be shareholders, they are partners in progress. Shared ownership brings shared responsibility, ensuring that every client receives legal advice that is proactive, personal, and built to stand the test of time.
