Lisa Bell (Lisa Martin), LLB (Director)

Lisa joined Progression Solicitors in March 2012 and is a Director and Head of the Family Department.  Originally from Barrow in Furness, Lisa qualified as a Solicitor at Northumbria University and worked in Newcastle-upon-Tyne at the start of her career, before returning to Cumbria in 2012.

Lisa has vast experience in all areas of family law, including divorce and separation and all that follows from this – such as financial remedy, co-habitation breakdown and child arrangements.

Lisa has acted on behalf of client with business interests, in the complex negotiations that arise when settling finances on divorce or separation.  Her expertise allows her to offer services for those wishing simply to enter into a separation agreement or those seeking full representation throughout the divorce process, whether court proceedings are involved or not.

Lisa offers advice and assistance to a variety of clients in children matters including parents wishing to apply for or respond to an application for a child arrangements order (formally residence and contact proceedings) and she also has experience in dealing with child abduction and domestic violence.

Lisa is a member of Resolution, a community of family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way. Resolution members abide by a code of practice to support clients to resolve matters as constructively – and with as little conflict – as possible.
