Progression Solicitors is very proud to announce that we are now employee owned
In October 2024, Progression Solicitors proudly became an Employee-Owned Law Firm. This means all our employees are now able to share in our company’s profits and contribute as owners to our shared success. Employee ownership not only empowers our team but also helps us attract the top talent and reinforce our people first culture,
Progression Solicitors is one of only 30 law firms to have converted to employee ownership in the UK. Progression Solicitors is therefore very proud to be leading the way for future Employee-Owned Law Firms.
What does this mean for our clients?
Research shows that employee owned companies are stronger performing with employees who are more engaged and committed. This is because we are proud to be a team of owners, not just employees. This ownership mindset drives us to think like business owners, act as trusted advisors, and advocate for our clients as if our future depends on it—because it does.
Employee Ownership aligns perfectly with our core values: empathy, pragmatism, responsiveness, and clear communication. It strengthens our commitment to delivering the level of service we would want to receive ourselves.
With this structure, our team is more collaborative, accountable, and dedicated to the shared success of Progression. While our employees may not be shareholders, they are partners in progress. Shared ownership brings shared responsibility, fostering a collaborative environment promoting innovation and excellence, strengthening our ability to deliver a top quality service in a local setting.
What does Employee-Ownership mean to our employees?
“Becoming an EOT must be considered in conjunction with the firm’s preexisting positive workplace culture and its ethos.
Since my arrival in 2017, the management is continuously encouraging teamwork and honest communication where feedback from every job level is welcomed and valued.
An open-door policy implemented by Progression from the firm’s early days makes us, the employees feel supported, accepted and nurtured (not only as professionals).
The goals were always clear, the achievements recognised (now in a form of a yearly bonus!) and the equal opportunities to progress available.
As you can see, the foundations were always there.
Although the process of transition into an EOT was slightly worrying, Anthony, Lisa and other colleagues worked tirelessly to make it as safe and as “painless” as possible.
Now for the “new Progression”.
I believe that the quality and the deeper understanding of working as a team has greatly improved for most of us.
The morale is high and this has a positive impact on our efficiency and productivity.
Personally, I take more pride in my job and feel responsible for the daily operation of the business and its success.
At present, I have no doubts about investing my future in Progression and would like to contribute towards creating new opportunities for the firm which could benefit us all” – Agnas Galas – Commercial Team Legal Support
