We are looking for an experienced residential conveyancer to lead our busy property department (solicitor, FCilex or licensed conveyancer) which operates across our five offices. The successful candidate will be based in either our Windermere or Kendal offices and have relevant experience in residential conveyancing, managing his or her own caseload with minimal supervision and being able to provide knowledge and support to all other members of the team. Good communication and people skills are necessary, with the ability to keep updated in all conveyancing developments both legal and procedural. The ability to deliver training and conduct team meetings to other property colleagues is essential.
The role also involves all aspects of residential conveyancing including taking initial instructions from clients, preparation of all relevant documentation, complying with anti-money laundering regulations, obtaining searches, liaising with mortgage companies, preparing reports on title, raising and replying to enquiries, attending to registrations at the Land Registry, managing clients’ expectations and following the transaction through from instruction to completion.
Salary is dependent on qualification and experience.
